Thanks for being here! I've been in business since 2010 and am originally from the East Coast. I've been living on the west coast for over 8 years and LOVE IT! Pictured above is my sweet little cottage in the heart of Carmel Valley nestled between Folktale and Carmel Valley Ranch. My name is Samantha, but my friends call me Sam.
I am a boy mom, agricultural wife, military daughter, older sister, horse girl at heart and I love being a professional photographer.
I am a wife to a fourth-generation farmer, although technically he will say he is a harvester. I met my husband in middle school and we started dating in high school. Through college, young adulthood, and marriage, our wild adventure currently has us braving the parent life to our five-year-old son. Motherhood is the most difficult yet most meaningful title my life has allowed me to carry.
I love light, my Canon and capturing connection with it. It is an immense privilege for me to be able to capture your life in its happiest moments; photographically documenting and preserving you and your love during this stage in your life, so that you may revisit it later."

Our Studio Philosophy & Full-Service Experience
Our studio was built on the belief that photographs are meant to be lived with—not just stored on a phone or computer. Printed photographs can last for generations, while digital files often fade quietly into the background of daily life.
After nearly two decades as a photographer, I’ve learned that while people deeply value their photos, most don’t have the time or desire to decide how to turn them into something tangible. Albums go un-designed, prints remain un-made, and meaningful images go unseen. A full-service studio exists to change that.
At AGS Photo Art, full service means we guide you through the entire process—from the first conversation to the final artwork in your hands. We don’t simply deliver images and leave the rest to you. Instead, we help you slow down, thoughtfully review your photographs, and choose how your memories will be preserved and enjoyed, whether through printed artwork, albums, or select digital files.
While digital imagery is valuable and convenient, it is only one part of the photographic experience. Our approach is intentionally personal and flexible. Some clients value a complete digital collection, while others prefer to invest in a smaller set of images to be printed, displayed, and returned over time. There is no one right way — only what best reflects how you want to live with your photographs.
Our role goes beyond taking photos. We help take the pressure off by providing guidance and expertise so your images don’t get lost or forgotten. The moments we photograph today become the memories future generations return to — and our goal is to preserve them in a way that feels meaningful, lasting, and true to you.

Perfect if you love flexibility. Your session fee covers the photography time, planning, and guidance. Afterward, you’ll hand-pick your favorite images and heirloom products — prints, albums, or digitals — one by one. This way, you only invest in what you truly love.
all-inclusive
Ideal if you prefer everything beautifully bundled from the start. This option includes your session plus a thoughtfully curated collection of images and products. With all-inclusive, you know exactly what you’re getting upfront — no decisions later, just timeless photos ready to be cherished.

Reveal and ordering
a la carte session fee does not include -
any prints or products. Your reveal session will happen 3/4 weeks after the session, and I'll guide you on how to use your images to make sure they last for generations.
That's the point, right? To do something with them and always remember this moment in life. Our studio believes in having our memories in print and not in the clou,d collecting digital dust.
Most clients will average around $2,500 for the bigger goodies. Our full digital collections start at $1,500.
